Want to Join the Knights of Columbus?
By asking this simple question, you provide much needed assistance to our recruitment efforts, which will allow our council to achieve its membership goal.
Thus, Membership Chair Leo Lammers and I would greatly appreciate your
efforts to recruit a new member for our next First Degree Initiation, scheduled for Thursday, November 10th. The new member must simply arrive by 6:45 pm with both a Form 100 and his annual dues ($20).
Together, we will ensure that Breese Council #2869 is again honored as a Star Council!

TOOTSIE ROLL DRIVE SURPASSES GOAL!
To every Knight who donated time or money to our recent Tootsie Roll Drive, THANK YOU! As a result of your efforts, Breese Council #2869 once again surpassed our goal of $6,780.33! (Because business donations are still being calculated, a
final total was unavailable at press time.) Please join me in thanking Chairman Jim Schulte and his crew for staffing the collection sites. Also, Captain Ray Brosch and his 24 collection volunteers deserve a "That a boy!" for 100% attendance.
Once again, we have demonstrated that the members of Breese Council #2869 are truly brothers united by faith to serve church and community!
KC Soccer Challenge to Continue Oct 2nd
Despite many prayers, Mother Nature put a damper on the inaugural KC Soccer Challenge, held Sunday, September 25th. Due to the rain, the event was moved to the Mater Dei gym, which allowed three children to compete. However, thanks to the dedication of Deputy Grand Knight Shane Bowen, Nathan Henss, and State Youth
Activities Director Joe Langhauser, the event will be
repeated at the Mater Dei gym, on Sunday, October 2nd. Please thank Shane, Nathan, and Joe for accepting the challenge of implementing this new program!
